I am a strong supporter of George W. Bush, the 43rd President of the United States. I know a lot of people have found him as a 'dictator' more than a 'liberator', but I called him an unsung hero. One of his famous remarks before he leaves office: You may not agree with my decisions, with what I have done; but I think you would agree that I'm willing to make tough decisions, to help making this world a better place to live in. This strongly shows him a resilient, responsible leader, a man of his word, a promised metaphor who disarmed the root cause of injustice popped out in the Middle East, help lifted the spirits of the oppressed, and liberated 25 million Afghans and 25 million Iraqis from tyranny. I can't assume that he didn't make mistakes. An excellent leader is always preparing to bear the unscrupulous scapegoats, but a senseless leader is the one who is not willing to make tough choices. So my conclusion on George W. Bush's 8 years presidency: Well Done!
How can I say about Obama? Well, it is still early to speculate. Obama's popularity is almost a celebrity's fame, ranging from swarm of humanity across the United States to the fervent supporters of freedom abroad, from peoples of all walks of life and background. Democrats and Republicans alike, Blacks and Whites, Caucuses, Latin-Americans, African-Americans, Asian-Americans, rich, poor, young, old, straight, gay, .... all are created EQUAL. All embrace the same faith, experience the same powers of freedom, yielding hope to this first African-American President. The racial issue is inevitable, but knowing this America must CHANGE, they have spoken the sound remedy, embarking a renewal season of democracy to mark the end of Bush's limelight. America has eventually made a big progress, a timely revolution, showing the world that impossibility of democracy becomes a possibility.
But is Obama a nicer President than George Bush? Time and again the tides of challenges are facing every new President, depending on the scale and scope of stumbling blocks. The bitter sway of economic turmoil gives a huge blow to Wall Street and Main Street, shearing down the major european markets, reaching the Asian markets and bringing the credit crunch to nosedive. Millions of employers lost their job, thousands of companies have bankrupted, homeowners can't afford to pay the mortgages, banks scrambled from giving interests and loans. Obama's CHANGE policy seems to get tougher day after day, but his confidence makes him to stay strong on his lead to convince the votes from Senate and House of Representatives. As a result, the House passed 2 bills, $815 and $785 billion dollars stimulus packages respectively. Obama boosted the Recovery and Reinvestment Plan allied with the stimulus package, helping to create 3.5 million jobs in 3 years, recapitalizing the nation's resources to replace the US dependency on oil as main source of energy. If he succeed on this plan, he will be the first US President to address people's demands and expectations longed for at least 30 years, that Washington has failed to fulfill and kept delayed and delayed.
What else Obama likes? ...

ReplyDeleteNajib, what are you doing as deputy PM when the whole nation is crying for the perpetuator of the nude photos to be caught and investigated? Are you not trying to encourage the police to catch the " thief " ? Or just keep quiet and let the controversy continue to simmer and then explode into something radical? are you going to do nothing ans say you or your people not involved? You must have an interest in what is going on in our country for being a deputy PM. You must have the interest to solve any controversies or anything that the rakyat highlights in the normal course of the day. You remain very indifferent to your surroundings. You do not seem to be interested to what is happening to a state assemblyman or to any happening around the country. You are a soulless deputy PM. You have no heart to rule this country at all. You are now totally immersed in thinking what will happen to you come April 1st, that is April fools day in 2009. Please do not worry. Allah will compensate you for all things you had done in the past.
ReplyDeleteWow. That's a controversial blow to me. Chill man. Be cool. We must argue issues with civility. Like my motto above.
ReplyDeleteI don't really know much about Najib. Just give him 6 months period before giving judgements. We should rule out whatever bias and impartiality and be sensible, and any dispute must be vindicated with evidences.
Looking forward to your comments. I appreciate that.
I see you dont' read news in our country,or you just read mass media controlled byUMNO,sthg like Utusan Malaysia,or Star.Otherwise, you just close one eye or one ear when there;'s strong evidence which considered vindicated.
ReplyDeleteNah!Cheap's retort is "Where's the proof". Yes it is typical. Why the sudden interest in proof? If the proof is procured and it is connected with BN, is not highly likely that the proof will selectively be not tendered in its entirety? It has been the hall mark of BN's politics to smear individuals ranging from DSAI, to DCSL (MCA)to make it appear that their personal life is to be twisted and probed with little regard to their right of personal privacy. Remember the 2 ADUNs' sexual escapades and leaping thereafter? Money seems to prove that its not bigger than God and neither is it smaller.
One more, stop writting political reviews here,i'm just waste my time reading your crap notes~~~~have a nice day on debating your civility
So you fully support on what Malaysia Today have been reported on and on so far? I know that nowadays Malaysian public tends to believe the ‘telltale conspiracy’ displayed on this website. You can accuse the BN government for the controlling main line newspapers such as The Star and Utusan Malaysia on reporting nation’s major headlines, especially on sentimental issues, but I can also call that whatever narrations uploaded onto Malaysia Today are merely a hoax. Look. I can say you guys are actually naive. How can you prove that the news on Malaysia Today is the truth? How does it sound?
ReplyDeleteHow is Anwar Ibrahim doing today? I’m pretty sure that you guys were overjoyed to celebrate a ‘historic moment’ of toppling the BN government that Anwar had promised to deliver to on September 16th 2008. But why the plan came with no avail? I want a full explanation. Or should I scoff over this issue?
What a twist of event. Didn't you yourself call for 'civility in debating'? At no point did Anti-UMNO attack your character personally, all the points he gave were concerning Najib's incompetence and in the debate point of 'proof' when 'proof' nowadays can proove nothing at all (remember that parade during DSAI's Sodomy charge involving a matress, which was carried in and out of the courtroom for all to see as if it were the holy grail? Only to be dismissed as false evidence later?)
ReplyDeleteThen you fired the first shot by calling us, people who choose to read independent source of news as 'naive'. That is not civil whichever way you bend it. You just insulted a good 70-80% of young Malaysians. Plus Malaysia-today records readership of 5 million per day, and even higher (in the upper 10-20million during election time). Are all these readers 'naive' too? Then we must have a lot of naive Malaysians then...
No wonder out country is in such deep shit...
;-p
Anwar got a taste of his own medicine. Since the last general election he has been saying again and again that he will get enough defections to form the Federal Government. That did not happen. Forming the Federal Government still remains a gleam in Anwar's eyes, a dream still hovering in the distant horizon.
ReplyDeleteAnwar has not lost but was cheated by those you very well know that they cheated , period. What kind of human you are dishing out half truths and innuendos and giving a false picture to the people and no wonder they selected badly tainted leaders. Bad people (badly informed) select bad leaders leading to bad consequences. However Malaysians are getting politically matured in spite of blokes like you; so watch out.
Talking about truth, they are putting RPK away for sedition.Isn’t that a true and tried UMNO tradition?Abusing the law to create confusion and instill fear,On people who are defending what we really hold dear. For the rest of truth,,it's just too long to write on,,
